ORIGIN Amongst neighbouring Central American coffee-growing countries like Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Guatemala, Honduras exports more volume than any other nation in the region. Coffee cultivation still accounts for a large part of the national export revenue – of which millions directly or indirectly depend on for a livelihood. The country has ideal conditions to produce exceptional coffees due to its high elevations, fertile volcanic soils and ideal climate that is suited to coffee cultivation.
