Ladies and gentlemen, here is Vietnam. Could it get any weirder? Don’t ask. I have no idea what’s going on here. I want to use the most neutral word possible, one that won’t spoil anything for you, but there’s no other way to say it: this coffee is weird. It’s weird, and I warmly invite you to try it. The high sweetness, reminiscent of stevia, reminds me of the botanical variety Eugenioides. Loads of tropical fruit make me think of Ethiopia or Rwanda. I’m drinking it, and I have no idea where I am. This is definitely the craziest coffee I’ve ever contracted, and if this is how we’re starting the year, I’m buckling up and waiting to see what else is ahead of us! And you should buckle up too before you take a sip of this one. It’s intense.
