João Hamilton dos Santos leads the Serra dos Ciganos community coffee project in Caconde, on the São Paulo / Minas Gerais border in Brazil, farming at 1,200–1,350 masl in a landscape of natural springs feeding the Rio Pardo watershed. His 10-hectare farm grows Bourbon and Catuaí without artificial fertilizers or pesticides, and João also operates the Serra dos Ciganos washing station, which processes coffee from approximately 40 local producers. The station was developed in partnership with FAF as a hub for quality training and collective processing under the Bob-O-Link Project.
