Jose Roberto Monterroso Pineda

José Roberto Monterroso Pineda is a Guatemalan coffee producer and owner of Finca El Morito in Mataquescuintla, Jalapa, farming at altitudes between 1,370 and 2,350 masl with thirteen-plus Arabica varieties under natural shade. A former dairy farmer, he transitioned to specialty coffee in 1994 and earned first place at the Guatemala Cup of Excellence in 2022 with a washed Geisha, having been a national finalist eight times in ten years. El Morito is particularly recognized for Pacamara, Geisha, and Red and Yellow Geisha lots.
