Kibirigwi Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) was established in 1953 in Kirinyaga County, Kenya, and is one of the oldest coffee cooperatives in the country, representing 6,888 active member farmers across nine factory (wet mill) sites. The cooperative farms Arabica varieties including SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian on the fertile slopes of Mount Kenya, producing washed lots characteristic of Kirinyaga — citric and jammy with notes of red currant and tangerine. Kibirigwi FCS provides members with agronomic training and aims to scale production capacity significantly.
