Magdalena López owns Finca Santa Fe, high in the mountains of Nariño near the Galeras Volcano — the highest coffee farm Five Elephant sources from. She has preserved the upper slope as a protected forest reserve (Los Rayos), leaving forest and water sources untouched. The farm is planted mainly with Colombia variety, with a smaller plot of Tabi, grown in volcanic soils.
