Micepa (Microbeneficio Cerro Paraguas) is a Costa Rican micromill cooperative that became operational in 2011 near Piedra de Rivas, adjacent to Chirripó National Park. The mill processes coffee from 10 smallholder members across approximately 50 hectares of shade-grown plots, using fully washed processing methods and sustainable practices including terracing and soil-erosion management. Micepa is part of Costa Rica's micro-mill movement, allowing small producers to differentiate through quality control at origin.
