The Mierisch family operates Fincas Mierisch, a group of nine farms in Nicaragua and three in Honduras spanning three to five generations of the family. Key farms include El Limoncillo (171 ha, 1,200–1,450 masl, in Yasica Norte, Matagalpa, purchased 1930) and Las Delicias (13 ha, 1,450 masl, Jinotega), known for experimental processing and rare varieties including Javanica. The family employs over 3,000 workers at harvest peak and has placed in Nicaragua's Cup of Excellence multiple times.
