Vergara Brothers

Jhoan Vergara and his brothers Carlos and Diego are young Colombian coffee producers at Finca Las Flores in Acevedo, Huila, representing a new generation of experimenters in the Peñas Blancas microregion. The siblings developed replicable fermentation protocols, solar drying systems, and maintain a microorganism lab for fermentation research, producing Ombligón and other distinct varieties. Jhoan won the Master of Coffee competition in South Korea in 2019 competing simultaneously as producer and roaster, and Las Flores is recognized alongside El Diviso and Zarza as one of Acevedo's leading specialty estates.
