About

Akha Ama Coffee is a social enterprise and specialty roastery founded in 2010 by Lee Ayu Chuepa in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It sources all coffee exclusively from indigenous Akha hill tribe smallholder farmers in the village of Maejantai, located at 1,500 metres above sea level in northern Thailand. The company supports fair pricing and sustainable agriculture for its farming community, and operates multiple cafe locations in Chiang Mai plus a roastery-cafe north of the city.
