About

Specialty coffee roastery founded in 2017 by Dario Scilipoti in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, South Africa. Bluebird operates from a purpose-built facility at 36 Main Street, Howick, opened in 2022, housing the roastery, café, training centre, and QC lab. The roastery sources directly from farmers and producers, focusing on transparency and long-term relationships. Winner of Roastery of the Year 2021 and Best Coffee Packaging 2024 at the Coffee Magazine Awards.
