About

Bold Bean Coffee Roasters was founded in 2007 by Jay Burnett in Jacksonville, Florida. The roastery operates a 6,000-square-foot facility and roasts on a Loring Kestrel S35, tracking profiles in Cropster. Single-origin coffees are roasted light to express terroir and varietal character; house blends lean medium for sweetness and body. Coffees are sourced above C-market price based on cost of production and quality, with an emphasis on transparent relationships with producers and importers. Bold Bean operates two retail cafes in Jacksonville (Riverside and Jacksonville Beach) and supplies Whole Foods locations across Florida.
