About

Bono Coffee is a family-owned specialty coffee roastery founded in Calgary, Alberta in 2019 by Dawit Wubie and Danait Tesfay, who grew up in Ethiopia. The roastery sources 100% Ethiopian beans, with approximately 50% coming directly from Asikana, a producer with deep ties to Ethiopia's coffee farming communities. Coffees are roasted in small batches. Bono operates three cafes in Calgary (Manhattan Road SE, Bridgeland, and Stephen Ave downtown), where they roast and brew on-site.
