Dark Matter Coffee is a Chicago specialty roaster and cafe group founded in 2007 at Star Lounge Coffee Bar on the city's West Side. The company roasts daily and draws on long-term relationships with farm partners in El Salvador and Guatemala. It operates eight cafe locations across Chicago and one in New York City, each with a distinct music- and arts-inspired identity. The brand focuses on community, creative partnerships, and direct-trade sourcing.
