Detour Coffee Roasters

Detour Coffee Roasters was founded in 2009 in a back alley in Dundas, Ontario, by Kaelin McCowan. One of Canada's earliest specialty coffee roasters, Detour sources green coffees directly from producers with a focus on relationships, traceability, and quality. All coffees are roasted in small batches on a Loring Coffee Roaster using convection heat to highlight origin character, sweetness, and balance. The company operates multiple cafes in the Hamilton area and runs the sister brand Dark Horse Espresso Bar across Ontario.
