About

Specialty coffee roastery and cafe group based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2016 by Joonmo Kim and Jacob Park, Korean-American co-owners who met working in the coffee industry. The name Maru derives from the Korean phrase San Ma Ru, meaning mountaintop, reflecting a focus on high-altitude grown beans. Coffee is roasted at their production facility in Glassell Park and sold through multiple cafe locations in Los Feliz, Arts District (LA), Beverly Hills, and Williamsburg (Brooklyn). Offerings rotate seasonally with a focus on direct and transparent sourcing.
