Specialty roastery and cafe in Setagaya (Kyodo), Tokyo, founded in 2020 by Masashi Oda and Yuya Kosakada under the company Swim. Originally launched as a wholesale ghost roastery near Haneda Airport, Raw Sugar Roast opened its flagship cafe in spring 2022. The roastery focuses on communicating the distinct character of each origin, with a curated rotating selection of single-origin coffees. Yuya Kosakada serves as head roaster and SCA-trained barista; the company also offers training, consulting, and brewing guides for cafe partners.
