About

Specialty coffee roaster founded in 2010 by Rose McCutchan and Haden Polseno-Hensley in Floyd, Virginia (population 432). Started as a roaster for an existing coffee house, Red Rooster has grown to nearly 50 employees and ships throughout the US. The company emphasises transparently-traded, largely organic coffees, sustainable practices (PCR plastic bags, composting), and community impact including onsite childcare and local charity donations. Red Rooster has earned three Good Food Awards, multiple Golden Bean medals, and Coffee Review Annual Top 30 placements from 2015 to 2023, with over 50 coffees scoring 90+ on Coffee Review.
